British Railways gold free pass issued to J. Morrison. Front marked British Railways Board and enamelled with a red background. The rear is marked J. Morrison 563. In very good condition measures 1.125 in diameter. John Morrison who was known as Jack was originally from Glasgow and moved to the London area in 1970 until his death in 1991.

Caledonian and London & North Western Railway free special pass No 56 issued for 1881. One side is marked with Caledonian Railway the other London and North Western Railway. Gold embossed leather in very good condition measures 2in x 2in. Probably issued to James Smithells who was the General manager of the Caledonian Railway company as this pass came with the other two listed in this auction.

In very good condition measures 1 in diameter. James Smithells (correct spelling) was the General manager of the Caledonian Railway company having previously been employed as traffic manager of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway.

A pair of silver free passes issued to James Denis Tattersall (1914-1980): BRITISH TRANSPORT COMMISSION No 112 in very good condition and LONDON TRANSPORT EXECUTIVE No S98 in good condition but slightly worn on the front. D. Tattersall who joined the LNER in 1938 as an assistant solicitor fought in the second World War and was captured at Salonika and spent four years as a prisoner of war and in September 1945 resumed his position and was promoted in 1948 to become Assistant Regional Solicitor for the North Eastern region of British Railways and retired in the mid 1970's. Both measure 1.125in diameter.

In very good condition measures 1in diameter. A. C. Humphreys-Owen was the Liberal Member Of Parliament for Montgomeryshire until his death aged 70 years in December 1905.

Southern Railway 9ct gold 50 years LONG SERVICE MEDAL. Enamelled face with Southern Railway Coat of Arms and engraved on the back E. MERCER 1889-1939, hallmarked .375 and assay mark for Birmingham. The recipient spent all his working life at Ashford Carriage and Wagon Works as an upholsterer and after retirement carried on as a cobbler working from home. He passed away in 1974. In excellent condition and in original case.

British Railways Board 9 carat Gold free pass issued to DAVID McKENNA. David McKenna became assistant general manager of the Southern Region of British Railways in 1955. He was subsequently at Lord Beeching's elbow as chief commercial officer for the British Transport Commission, before becoming chairman and general manager of the Southern Region, and a member of the British Railways Board until his retirement in 1976. In good condition with a light blue enamel face and hallmarked 9.375 with a date code for 1969 London.

Lord Glenavy James Henry Mussen Campbell, 1st Baron Glenavy PC (4 April 1851 - 22 March 1931) was an Irish lawyer, politician in the British Parliament and later in the Oireachtas of the Irish Free State. He was also Lord Chancellor of Ireland. A stunning set that has survived intact.

London Midland Scottish Silver Pass bearing the holder's name 'C.R. Atkins number 20'. Good condition with minimal wear. Together with two LNER Silver Passes, one engraved '209 G.A. Robertson' the other' 320 J.M. Fleming' Both quite worn. The accompanying letter from BTC dated 1954 accompanies although the pass numbers do not match the letter.
