British Railways Southern Region 8 inch oak cased fusee railway clock with a rectangular plated wire driven English fusee movement, supplied to the Southern region in 1959 by Stockall, Marples & Co at a cost of 11-14-0d. The original dial displays BR(S) 11600 and the case has one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass turn. In working order recently oiled, but not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum and key. The SR clock records show this clock as last in use at Crediton Permanent Way Inspector and was maintained by Garnish & Winkles. A copy of the Southern Railway clock record accompanies the lot.
