British Railways Southern Region 8 inch oak cased fusee railway clock with a rectangular plated wire driven English fusee movement, supplied to the Southern region in 1953 by Stanhope at a cost of 9-11-0d. The original dial displays BR(S) 11316 and the case has one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass turn. In working order but not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum and key. The SR clock records show this clock as last in use at Purley Engineer Department Telephone Exchange. Complete with original British Railways bill of sale dated July 1973.
