BR(M) FF enamel Signalbox board WOODHEAD. From the box that was situated at the Manchester end of the down platform of Woodhead station which opened in 1954 with the opening of the new Woodhead Tunnel on the ex Great Central Railway line between Sheffield & Manchester which closed in 1981. In very good condition with a couple of face chips and loss of shine, measures 66in x 12in and comes complete with its original wooden mounting frame. A truly evocative name.
