Cabside numberplate EBBW VALE SI&C CO LIMITED EBBW VALE WORKS No 40. Ex Kitson & Co Ltd works number 3133 built in 1889 and originally supplied to the Cardiff Railway for use at Bute Docks and numbered CR 30, it was absorbed into Great Western railway stock in March 1929 as GWR 691 via Wynne Jones a dealer in Swansea, It then went to Richard Thomas & Co Ltd, Ebbw Vale after purchasing the Ebbw Vale Works site from the receivers in November 1939 and named CWMCARN. It was scrapped in 1946. Oval cast brass, in as removed condition, measures 15.75in x 7.75in. measures 15.75in x 7.75in.
