Nameplate ASTLEY HALL. Ex GWR Collet 4-6-0 Hall Class Locomotive number 4903 built Swindon December 1928. Shedded at Old Oak Common, Reading, Oxley, Gloucester Horton Road, Taunton, Southall and withdrawn from 85A Worcester in October 1964 and scrapped the following year at Steel Supply Co Jersey Marine. In lightly restored condition, rear stamped LDIN No 3 Lot No 254 indicating this is the left hand plate. Astley Hall is near to Stourport-on-Severn and is famous for being the home of former Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin from 1902 to 1947. The cabside numberplate 4903 is the following lot.
